What is a domain name?

A domain name is the address of your website. For example, Wizardpig.com is our domain name. If you think of your website as your house, the domain name is the address. The domain name extension is most commonly, .com, .org or .net. You can also use a “subdomain” like shop.wizardpig.com for your site or a special part of your site. If you own a domain name, you can have as many subdomains as you want without additional costs.
